Imagine coming back to your home at night or going into your bedroom and not being able to flick a switch and see what is there.
Rwanda is near the equator, and when the sun sets around 6:30pm most nights it quickly falls dark. Children study by candle or mobile phone light, or more often, go to school early the next day to get their homework done.
In 2022, that was the experience for the 40% of Rwandese households that do not have electrical lighting.
