Making a Difference - Rwanda
Early Childhood Centers
Target US$100,000
Did you know?
Many parents in rural Rwanda face the choice between leaving their young children at home unsupervised or taking them out to the fields where they work as casual labourers – often with no shelter from sun or rain.

This choice is a constant worry for parents of young children, a worry that either limits their ability to earn the money they need to feed their family or deprives their children of a safe and stimulating environment in their all-important pre-primary years.

What this project will do?
Early childhood centers are for three- to five-year-old children. They provide:
• A play-based curriculum teaching the basics of language and maths to prepare the children for primary school.
• A balanced morning meal prepared by a roster of parents based on the understanding that well-fed children have more energy for play and learning.
• Trained early childhood caregivers and teachers who work with local health services and parents to monitor the children’s development and ensure that the children are growing up strong and healthy.

What we do

What can I do?
The difference that these centers make to children in rural Rwanda cannot be overstated. A clean, safe, and play-centered environment for young children. Peace of mind for parents as they work to feed their families. This should not be exceptional.

Your donation will help AEE Rwanda build and equip more early childhood centers in Rwanda where children and parents need them most.

We partner with international government donors on a cost-share basis. AEE Rwanda must raise 5% of the project cost. Every dollar or euro that you donate unlocks nineteen dollars or euros of funding.
